Maximizing Your Experience With God

Maximizing your experience with God begins with believing that He exist, Hebrews 11:6. Those who feel that God is mysterious does not really know Him. Out of love for mankind the Word of God was given so that Christians can learn of God and His way of life. A meaningful relationship is what God desires to have with everyone upon the earth.

Life’s circumstances in which one view God as a result, has much to do with the motivation behind wanting to establish a relationship with Him or not. Regardless of the circumstances, we must know without a doubt that God loves us unconditionally and wants the best for us. I John 4: 8,16, III John 2, and Jeremiah 29:11.

We must give Him a chance to prove His love and faithfulness to us, Isaiah 40:31, and Hebrews 10:23. At the same time as Christians we must learn to love God out of a pure and sincere heart, by obeying His Word, John 14:15, I John 5:3, and Revelations 22:14.

As believers we should be in a covenant relationship with God. This means, we do our part in keeping the relationship in harmony, as well as God doing His part which is established in His Word. God is always faithful, as covenant keepers, Christians should become faithful as well.

We must also learn to trust God. After all, He created us, and He’s our Father, Hebrews 6:18.

God also wants to be worshipped for who He is, God ! Worship should be a lifestyle where God is glorified everywhere we go. Christians should stand out from the crowd because God’s character shines so brightly through us. Worshipping God in spirit and truth is worshipping Him according to His Word, Romans 8:6-7, John 17:17. When Christians assemble together for worship, we also give praise to God, Psalm 149:1,3, and 150:1-6.

Prayer is also a vital tool used to come into God’s presence to communicate with Him. To give Him thanks for all that He has done. Petitioning His perfect will for our lives, the lives of our families, those whom God impresses upon our hearts, situations and circumstances should also be done in our prayer time. God is concerned about His children and He does answer prayers, Matthew 21:22, Acts 6:4, and James 5:16.

As we avail ourselves to maximize our experience with God by acknowledging Him, recognizing His love for us, worshipping Him, and praying, we are drawing nearer to Him, and He in turn is drawing nearer to us, Hebrews 4:8. These actions will cause Christians to live life to the fullest, giving thanks for Jesus who made it all possible through faith.

Feelings Of My Rebirth

Surrounded by darkness
delaying my escape
to light.

Why did I not answer
the voice that cried
"come to Me." ...

Did I really think that
the appropriate time was
mine to choose?

As the magnetic force began
to pull me into the right
path, I became filled.

With this fullness that
resided within me, I
accepted Christ as my
savior.

As a result, a phenomenal
new me has emerged.

How could I have though
to defer a journey that
was destined to be mine.

Living in a world of uncertainty, people tend to worry about their survival. They worry about losing their jobs, how are bills going to be paid, the needs of their families, as well as themselves. We learn from the media daily about people who are out of control because of unresolved worry and stress issues. Some people have ended their lives as a result of worry and stress. Diseases are on the rise like never before.

As Christians we have a solution for worry if we would learn to believe and trust in God. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us to, “Take no thought for your life.” Because if God takes care of the birds and the lilies of the field, how much more will He do for His children ? We are worth much more than they are. Our part is to keep God first with an attitude of thanksgiving. Let’s stay focused on God’s Word and watch Him work in our lives.

How does one discover their identity in Christ ? Well, it began even before you were formed in your mother’s womb. God knew who He wanted you to be. From your looks to your gifts and talents. Everyone is beautiful in God’s eyes and everyone has a talent. Some people may be multi-talented, but never the less, everyone has a talent.

There were three in the making of you. Your father, mother, and God. People grow up in various environments, having various experiences, all of which can be used by God.

In prayer, ask God about your existence and how do you fit into His plan. Only you can fulfill being who you are in your life’s destination.
